Glaze Fire 28 / Bisque Fire 18September 3, 2019
Another random grab bag of stuff out of the kiln. Nothing went amiss this time other than some glaze bubbling. One of Nic’s mugs that he clear glazed on the inside before the first high fire bubbled up quite a bit. The weird thing about that is the bubbling of glaze is likely caused by gasses releasing. But if it was already high fired, why would a low fire create more gases?
Tis a mystery!
Most of the stuff in this load were the bisque fire stage so they’re not finished just yet.. here are the finished pieces and wholly hell they’re cool! (mimic mugs by Herman)
